A Touch Of Wisdom, 4/11/14

"Some people look and never see; others see and never look."

St. Vincent de Paul (1581 - 1660)

St. Vincent de Paul (24 April 1581 – 27 September 1660) was a priest of the Catholic Church who dedicated himself to serving the poor. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion. He was canonized in 1737.[1] De Paul was renowned for his compassion, humility, and generosity[1] and is known as the "Great Apostle of Charity". (Wikipedia)

St. Francis Medical Center in Los Angeles shared this St. Vincent de Paul quote with its staff and Anne's and my son Clayton, a doctor at St. Francis kindly shared it with us.

A personal observation I took from that quotation: We must learn to see with our hearts and not ignore the needs of our many brothers and sisters who have so little.
